O'Ahu Vacation! Day 7

Day 7 - Pearl Harbor and the Pacific Aviation Museum. Pearl Harbor was a very somber sight. Brenden learned a lot on this day - let's hope he remembers some of it.

We took a tour of the USS Bowfin submarine

Next up was the Pacific Aviation Museum

O'Ahu Vaction! Day 6

Day 6 - Valley of the temples and east O'Ahu. We first traveled to the Byodo-In which is a replica of a 950 year old Buddhist temple built in 1968. The Ko'olau mountain range is in the background which creates a very peaceful site. A photographer's dream!

Ring the bell before entering the temple for good luck.

After the temple we drove to the east O'Ahu Beaches - they were very beautiful.
Halona Beach or better known as "From Here to Eternity" beach

O'Ahu Vacation! Days 4-5

Day 4 -  A day of relaxation and chillin' at the beach cottage. We snorkeled and kayaked there. While snorkeling Dave pointed out all of the sea cucumbers that were laying in the water. Very cool.
Day Five was a tour of the Dole Plantation which was a blast. Brenden enjoyed the train ride that we took there. Lots of mugging for the camera too

O'Ahu Vaction! Days 1-2

Time for our Hawaiian vacation! We were able to reserve a beach cottage on the Marine Corps Base Kane'ohe Bay - awesomeness. We had our own private beach where we could kayak and snorkel. Brenden did great in the water! We will definitely have to come back to this paradise.

Day 1 - relax at our cottage and enjoy the view
Day 2 - North Shore. On our drive up there we stopped at Kualoa Beach Park and had the place to ourselves!
Chinaman's Hat (Mokoli'i Island)
Brenden's first snorkel trip is Shark's Cove on the North Shore
Shark's Cove (Pupukea Beach Park)
After our snorkel adventure we continued north to the famous Waimea Bay. Beautiful!
