Just a Little Private Helicopter Ride over Yuma

Dave's friend Jason was kind enough to give the boys a ride in his helicopter at sunset yesterday. What an experience for a four year old - spoiled!

Halloween 2012

It's the second year in a row (and he said he wanted to wear it for next Halloween too) for Brenden to dress as his beloved Jack Sparrow. I did convince him to wear Dan's old batman costume for the actual trick or treating which was surprising. We had our friends over and all went as a big group around the neighborhood. Fun times!

Fall Harvest Festival at The Learning Pad

The annual Fall Harvest Festival at Brenden's school turned out well. The parent council and a few other volunteers put in a lot of work to make this event happen. I manned the decorate a pumpkin table. Brenden of course wanted to be Jack Sparrow for Halloween (second year in a row) so I dressed him up and went as a Pirate wench myself. There was even a hayride!

Fall Trip to Salt Lake City

Time to visit my parents! We had fun in the cool temperatures and went to the historic Wheeler Farm for a trip through the hay maze and had a picnic up Millcreek canyon.

O'Ahu Vacation! Day 7

Day 7 - Pearl Harbor and the Pacific Aviation Museum. Pearl Harbor was a very somber sight. Brenden learned a lot on this day - let's hope he remembers some of it.

We took a tour of the USS Bowfin submarine

Next up was the Pacific Aviation Museum

O'Ahu Vaction! Day 6

Day 6 - Valley of the temples and east O'Ahu. We first traveled to the Byodo-In which is a replica of a 950 year old Buddhist temple built in 1968. The Ko'olau mountain range is in the background which creates a very peaceful site. A photographer's dream!

Ring the bell before entering the temple for good luck.

After the temple we drove to the east O'Ahu Beaches - they were very beautiful.
Halona Beach or better known as "From Here to Eternity" beach
